This compound has been synthesized in two steps from 4,6-dimethyl-2-phenylpyrimidine by double Knoevenagel reaction 4-bromobenzaldehyde followed Suzuki–Miyaura cross coupling 4-(N,N-diphenylamino)phenylboronic acid. exhibits intense emission moderately polar solvents as well solid state. is characterized an solvatochromism ranging blue non n-heptane to orange dichloromethane. also sensible the presence of acid bathochromic shift charge transfer absorption band quenching.
